Today there's supposed to be a huge storm sweeping France, although I've so far managed to sleep through most of it with the shutters closed.

I saw the evidence this morning though as half the autumn leaves still clinging to the trees outside had been unceremoniously dumped into the front garden so there must have been something happening last night.

This pic is of the huge area of tracks and lines you chug through as you leave Austerlitz or the Bibliothèque François Mitterand stations on your way out to the suburbs, and quite an impressive sight it is, if not particularly joyful. A bit of rain on the windows increases the mystery and melancholy as Morrissey songs spring to mind...
