Paris and I ~ 'Black & White & Read All Over'

iPhone Photo Chronicles
~ Black & White & Read All Over ~

Hey! What is it with all these crazy colours all the time? Whatever happened to good old Black and White, for Pierre's sake?

So here's a thoroughly colourless image for all you Luddixxx i mean traditionalists out there, of you know what by you know whom, and you can't get much black and whiter than that, now can you?

Look, if it's colour you're after then go here, but don't tell the Ilford crew i said that, will you?

Oh, by the way, seeing as this isn't a quiz question, I'd better tell you, in case you were wondering, that this is one of the legendary, and some would say lamentable, Buren columns. You know, those black and white columns that artist Daniel Buren put in the Palais Royal and which caused a similar stir to the Louvre Pyramid now widely regarded as a touch of genius. They jury still seems to be out on the columns though.

Very artistic take on the Buren Columns. It is one of my favorite areas in any weather. With the Fountains of Pol Bury just adjacent to the columns and the beautiful gardens below, it is a photographer's mecca.

Bon weekend!

Hi Genie! Yes, it's good on rainy days because the arcades are covered and plenty more passages are just around the corner. I often take people here!
