Art's a funny old thing, isn't it?

Here's half a bike, stuck to a wall. Why? Umm, art, I believe. Or maybe I'm being too lofty about it.

Maybe it's just someone's idea of a joke to make it look as though there's a bike stuck half way through somebody else's living room.

It gives one hope for one's own artistic efforts. If they can get away with that, you can get away with anything.

The next question is, how do you go about doing it. I mean, surely someone had to say, ok, you can stick half a bike to the outside of my apartment, sure, why not, it's art, after all.

Unless it's the proprietor himself who had the bright idea. Or maybe I missed spotting a bicycle repair shop lurking down at street level. I don't know. All I do know is that it pays to keep your eyes up, especially in the Marais district of Paris - you never know what's going down.
