No, it's not the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, although it looks like it; it's even worse!

For a romantic city with beautiful Baron Haussmann buildings lining the central avenues, Paris sure does make up for all that elegance in the outer lying districts.

This is in the 13th arrondissement where we can see some little French worker ants, or would that be busy bees beavering away (good grief, sorry about all these wildlife metaphors folks) for all they're worth.

It's a lived in city, sure, but also a worked in one, which all us tourists just drifting through (the streets) sometimes forget...

I've been in plenty of offices just like these ones, here in Paris and in the outskirts, over the years, and can't say I miss it much, even if I might have to head back in there soon. There's something nice though about working in a foreign city; you somehow feel you've been accepted.

Or sometimes rejected. But that's another story.
