Oh yeah, he IS doing EXACTLY what you think he is, and this on the banks of the Seine in full view of a vaguely suspecting public. We're in the Paris open air sculpture museum after all...

It's a piece by Jean-Robert Ipousteguy called Hydrorrhage from 1975, and it's in bronze, so don't get too excited and worked up, it's only metal folks.

I've always enjoyed it coz it's one of the stronger pieces, amongst the gently curved carved stone and random collections of colours and cacophony assembled along the way.

Not that I don't appreciate gently curved carved stone, as I'll show you shortly, but still, it's nice to have a bit of controversy from time to time to keep the brain bludgeoning along...

I think it's a commentary on war.
