My eye was enchanted by the astounding luminosity emanating from this peaceful scene found on a grave stone in Père Lachaise cemetery the other day.

The gentle pastel colours seemed to positively glow in stark contrast to the stern, sombre granite they were resting on.

There is a sort of life in the city of the dead after all.
