Our society is obsessed with images, and in particular with images of ourselves or others. I wonder what we're looking for. I mean, why stare at a picture of someone else. It's not the real person, after all.

Maybe it brings us the sensation of approaching others in a way our self-conscious and disapproving society doesn't normally allow.

There's also a joy in entering other people lives, albeit vicariously. Especially when they are shown in the simplicity of their existence in happy or even joyful states. But always honest and frank. It makes us reflect on our own lives. And see things a little bit differently.
