This shot pretty much sums up Paris for me. A lone walker on a monumental walkway, throwing a few dashes of colour onto an otherwise bleak cityscape. Not that Paris is bleak; far from it. But I like to paint her that way sometimes, with the people being the ones to put the blush in her cheeks.

Funnily enough, this cheery lady, with her blue jeans, red bag and yellow umbrella was passing a green lift shaft as I took the shot. The result's a curious concentration of tones in the already mentioned washed out bridge scene.

It could almost be me, except that I generally wear black. Cheery old me, eh? But I let my lens do the talking. I reckon it'll always be that way.

And why not...
